CMA Donates to Local Pediatric Cancer Organizations | Carter Myers Automotive

CMA took action during Pediatric Cancer Awareness
Month by giving back to local organizations that support children and their
families as the kids undergo cancer treatment. CMA has dealerships in five
Virginia cities, and each region selected a local non-profit to support during
the month of September.

“CMA’s vision is Moving Lives Forward, and that
includes moving lives forward within our communities,” said Liza Borches,
CMA’s fourth-generation President & CEO, “As a local business, we feel that
it is our responsibility to give back and we encourage our associates to get
involved. We live here, we work here, and we raise our kids here. We hope that
CMA’s contributions help alleviate the fear and pain these families endure
while going through such difficult times.”

CMA’s Charlottesville dealerships chose Ishan GalaFoundation, founded by local parents who lost their child to neuroblastoma. The
Foundation provides financial assistance, comfort, and a support network to local
families as they battle pediatric cancer. CMA’s Colonial Auto Center, CMA’s
Colonial Nissan and CMA’s Volvo Cars of Charlottesville made a donation for
every test drive in September.

CMA’s Richmond dealerships chose ASK ChildhoodCancer Foundation as their beneficiary. CMA associates volunteered at ASK’s Kourageous
Kids Party, CMA sponsored a golf tournament to support the Foundation, and each
of the five local dealerships – CMA’s Colonial Chevrolet, Honda, Hyundai, Kia
and Subaru – made a donation for every car sold.

CMA’s Valley CDJR, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, and
Volkswagen in Staunton and CMA’s Skyline CDJR in Woodstock collected donations
for the UVA Children’s Hospital pediatric cancer center. They delivered two
truckloads of items including coloring books & crayons, action figures,
games, toys, puzzles, art supplies, and more. There were even fairy wings,
fuzzy socks, and ride-on cars for the kids to zip around the hospital.

CMA’s Williamsburg Ford chose the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD) as their recipient, and made a donation
for every vehicle sold in September. CHKD is exclusively dedicated to
children’s care and is staffed with pediatric specialists in every discipline,
including pediatric cancer treatment and research.

Altogether, CMA donated over $10,000 to support pediatric cancer
patients in Virginia. This is just one step in a greater #CMAgivesback
initiative that benefits multiple charities in each community which CMA serves.
The company’s vision is “Moving Lives Forward”
for their customers, their associates, and their communities.
